Durable and Safe Lifelines
Just like standing rigging, lifelines are manufactured from durable stainless steel wire. For standing rigging, we recommend replacement at around 15 years of age. The same applies to lifelines, ensuring that your safety on board remains safeguarded.
With lifelines without PVC coating, it is clearly visible when replacement is required. In the case of wire with a PVC coating, this is more difficult to assess, making it harder to determine whether you are still sailing with a safe lifeline system. For this reason, we advise against the use of PVC coated lifelines and recommend stainless steel wire without PVC coating.
Just like your standing rigging, you can bring your old lifelines to us. We will replicate them precisely, ensuring a perfect one to one fit on your yacht so you can return to the water with confidence and safely continue your voyage. Together for the KNRM
Your old lifelines still have value. With your replaced lifelines, we support the KNRM. After we have manufactured your new lifelines, you can leave the old ones with us and we will donate the full proceeds to the KNRM. In this way, we contribute together to safety on the water, for sailors by sailors. View the current campaign status here.
